Marathon Action Shots

Playing up to the cameras with running mate Mike.

Looking good at the halfway mark.

The pain is obviously starting to kick in.

The sheer bloody relief at finishing!

Marathon Mates

Matt and his running mates who he knows through the Imax. They all did really well - finishing in 1 hour and 50 mins. Matt is now planning his full-marathon. But first he needs to regain the use of his legs.

Marathon Man

.. well half marathon. Matt got up bright and early for his 21 kilometre run around Sydney. It was the culmination of an intense training period of two runs around the neighbourhood. Rich had the right idea though.. staying in bed to take the 5am photo.

Matt in the morning of his birthday with Jen's present. A parcel full of English essentials. English Tetley tea, English chocolate and of course Heat magazine.

"Hello possums"! Matt faces his fear over this harmless possum which he at first thought was an overgrown rat!

Matt's birthday. Went out for a meal to the trendy area of King's Cross and celebrated him turning 21.

For Mother's Day we headed over to Canberra to be with Rich and Morgan's Mum and Dad. They cooked a massive roast and we all ate far to much.

A rather popular past time.

The Embankment in Melbourne. Really beautiful river walkway filled with cool Aussies all sat outside sipping wine.

Rich trying to understand the rather complex timetable of Melbourne's famous tram network.

And in the other direction...yet more apostles.

Matt and Rich.

Despite being called the 'Twelve Apostles' there are only about eight still standing, the others having collapsed into the sea.

We carried on along the Great Ocean Road to the famous 'Twelve Apostles'. Arrived just as the sun was setting which was absolutely beautiful.

The walkway concluded with a rain forest walk. Really beautiful but Matt was concerned about the huge cobwebs and spiders.

Can you see us?

Matt on the other hand wasn't quite as cool or calm.

Rich looking cool and calm up in the trees.

The family. It was quite a windy day and the walkway had a tendency to sway quite a bit. Sam and Ash were rather alarmed at this as you can see from the rather forced smiles on their faces!

The boys.

We stopped by this tree top walkway. Basically a long iron walk way suspended high up in the trees of the rain forest.

Played tourist and stopped for loads of photos along the way.

We all went for a trip along the Great Ocean Road. Beautiful scenery and some stunning views.

On to Geelong where we stayed with Rich's friends Sam, Ash and godson Jack.

It was tears the next day with the hangover from hell. Bad idea going from wine to beer to alcopops.

Leaving the hotel for a night out on the Melbourne scene.

At the airport on the way to Melbourne. Rich came straight from work and rather hungry just had time to grab a Hungry Jacks (the Aussie equivalent of Burger King)
